About us

Mechanical Tempest is Wellington’s community bike workshop! You can come here to fix your bike, build one out of our bits and pieces, and learn about what you need to do to keep your bike running smoothly and safely.

We offer a space for you to work on your bike, all the tools you will need, spare parts, and assistance from volunteer mechanics. We’re always happy to help you learn, no matter what your skill level!

We do not charge a fee for using the workshop or any of our parts, but we ask that you leave some money (or snacks!) as koha, which goes towards keeping the shop running.
