Mechanical Tempest is Poneke’s community bicycle workshop – entirely volunteer run, we empower people to maintain and repair their own bicycles, to re-use second hand parts, divert waste from landfill and enjoy the freedom bicycle transportation brings! 

We have been operating since 2003.

We do not charge a fee for using the workshop or any of our parts, but we ask that you leave some money (or snacks!) as koha, which goes towards keeping the shop running.
